Marie-Claire is a film, TV, &#38;nbsp;and theatre director, screenwriter, playwright, actress and producer.Her debut feature film, Neon Dreaming (PÖFF, RVQC, GFF), received four awards for Best Director on the festival circuit. Her early short films earned her, among other honours, an invitation to the Cannes Film Festival as part of Telefilm’s Not Short on Talent showcase. Her work as a screenwriter has most notably been recognized at the Los Angeles Film Awards and by the International Academy of Web Television. In 2025, she was awarded the Prize Œil du RACCORD, which highlights creativity and artistic boldness among filmmakers in Francophone Canada. She continues to support a range of artists as a story editor and creative advisor.

A participant in writing residencies in Canada, Martinique, Belgium, and France, she has written the plays Coffre-fort, Peau, Flush, and Marée haute. Published by Éditions l’Interligne, her play Peau won the Jeanne Sabourin Prize from Théâtre Action, while Flush was a finalist for the Québec-Ontario-REFC Prize and by the reading committee of the Festival des langues françaises in France. Marée haute and Flush were shortlisted for the Quartier des autrices et des auteurs Prize (France).Select acting nominations include Dora, Jessie, SATA, NZ Web Fest and Queen Palm International Film Festival. She is a graduate of the International School of Comedy in Reggio Emilia, Italy and of the George Brown College Theatre Arts program in Toronto.

Ayant participé à des résidences d’écriture au Canada, en Martinique, en Belgique et en France, elle a écrit les pièces Coffre-fort, Peau, Flush et Marée haute.
